College Student asked:

Laptops have software you can download so that if they are misplaced or stolen, you can track them and recover them. I am guessing there must be something similar for GPS. What can I purchase to always know it’s location?

    not out of the box
(a GPS only RECEIVES signals; it does NOT transmit, thus cannot be tracked — out of the box)

I’m sure you could somehow modify it after the sale to insert some sort of TRANSMITTER… Tricky Republican Dick

Buy a smartphone with GPS-device. So, you can localize your smartphone when ever you like. Percy Schott
