I have an opportunity to purchase a 2007 A6 at a great price, but does not have GPS. Can a factory unit be added in aftermarket?

yeas a factory system can be added after market the factory unit goes where the factory stereo is. im not sure if it would be as simple as just switching the units out though there may be some issues with what type of stereo system you have installed (bose or not) and whether there are more components than the main unit. ( is the GPS antenna in the unit or wired to some other part of the car) either way it is doable just a matter of whether you can just buy the unit and install it yourself or if you have to take it to an install shop to have it installed. The A6 is a great car though i recomend it.

take it to an audi dealership, it may be expensive but it will be done well, and probably can be warrantied. not to mention that they will have all the right parts for it.
