Can a Garmin c340 GPS be upgraded to include ferry routings?

We have a 2 year old Garmin c340 GPS that does not recognize routing to destinations using ferry services. This tends to send us many miles and hours out of our way if we don’t quickly realize the problem and adjust for it. Our newer Garmin Nuvi unit does recognize ferry service but the older c340 does not. Is there any way to upgrade the older Garmin c340 so that it will recognize ferry routings?

Good news! All Garmin GPS (well almost) can be upgraded. It’s just a matter of getting the database update for your unit. On some, this will be a card and on others it will be a download. The best place to get it will be through Garmin (the factory). Last time I checked the prices we’re a bit high so you might want to check my link at the bottom to see if they have what you need.
