Can an iPod Touch get GPS directions without connecting to anything?

    I don’t think that you can use the GPS without the Wi-Fi connection. Else, it would be all too easy for people to stalk those that have the iPod touch.

    By the way, the GPS only transmits its position for the satellites to triangulate when you allow it to. So, in the interests of privacy, you can’t use the GPS when there is no Wi-Fi on the iTouch.
