Louiscide asked:

I live in the Dominican Republic and I need to purchase a GPS device, but I need to know if there is some specific regional requirements for me to be able to use it in my country.
Or can I use any GPS device?

I would really appreciate any guidance.

  1. GPSreview.net says:

Any GPS device should work fine, regardless of your location just about anywhere on Earth. If you need specific maps on your GPS device for some purpose you would need to acquire maps of the region you will be going to. However if you don’t need mapping (just coordinates, waypoints, etc) any GPS device will work fine.
