I want to use priceline to request a rate for a rental car. Can I add a GPS from the car rental agency after I place a bid?

It depends on the agency and availability, but most will allow you to add that at the going rate – this is one of their profit centers so they’ll be glad to make money. :-)

Sometimes they will offer it free on the higher end units or when they are out of cheaper rental cars. Your chances are better with car rental company such as Hertz where their rental GPS is installed in the vehicle they rent unlike Avis/Budget or ERAC where they rent portable GPS units and will probably get top dollar for their GPS rentals. It is a real money maker for them, they rent a $25,000 car for $25 a day and they rent a $450 GPS unit for $10 a day, you do the math.
