Ive bin playing Flight simulator X for a while now but there is one thing that i realy dont understand. If for example, i fly from Amsterdam to London i see a purple line on the radar. This line goes from Amsterdam all the way to London. However, if, for any reason, i loose track i cant find the line back. So, if i loose the purple line out of my radar screen how do i get back on track?

What about before it went missing. The beacon should broadcast it position along the route.

I am going out to AZ soon from IL, if I programmed my car’s GPS with just the destination of AZ, what would happen. Any idea on what would happen if I tried this out? And please, no “you’ll get kicked out of the plane” and related answers, seriously….I want serious answers.

Has anyone used a GPS system as a passenger on a plane , how did it work?

Allways wondered if its possible to use a Satnav system as a passenger on a plane. It wouldnt work if the satnav measured barometric pressure due to the cabin being pressurised, but could you still get a signal onboard , thus giving you position , altitude and speed information?
