How to attach an after market gps antenna to Laguna Carminat satnav?

I have recently bought a 54 Renault Laguna sport tourer. The problem I have is the satnav gps antenna doesn’t receive any signal. I have bought a smb connector gps antenna to install. My problem is that I do not know how to remove the Carminat system to attach the aftermarket antenna to the rear of the system.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

No, I didn’t download an illegal map. I downloaded it via the TomTom HOME program provided with the GPS.
