I have the at&t 2 GB data plan and I wanted to use my new Samsung Captivate as the gps to go on a 5 hour car trip. My question is does anyone have any idea how much data this will use? I only want to use about 100mb max but if it’s going to be 500mb or more that’s just too ridiculous.

I want to disable the gps. I believe I am being tracked by my parents. I noticed by turning off the Mobile Network(Verizon) it disabled it. The down side on this is I don’t receive phone calls or texts. How can I turn off the gps and still receive phone calls and texts? There has to be some sort system fail and hack out there to change this.
