I heard from somewhere that due to unknown reasons the GPS system suffers an accuracy drift of 1 ns/day and sometimes randomly. If this is the case will the GPS system stop working someday??

How are GPS signals from satellites amplified?
What is the process from a physics perspective?
Is it amplified using a complex form of a concave mirror??

I’m developing a GPS Windows Mobile application (personal for now, but I might make it public) and I wanted to find out (theory wise) how to get the speed I’m traveling when given 2 sets of coordinates. I would go out and capture 2 coordinates driving at a constant speed, but I was hoping there was a magic formula.

Would a lead jacket that is used to protect from x rays be able to block signals from a GPS tracking device?

I need to measure the Earth’s radius using only a GPS devise and a compass (as to stay on the same meridian.) I know I need to note two different locations as to get the arc length, but after that, I’m at a loss.

I need to make a model or hands on demonstration that I could use to demonstrate the basics of satellites and gps positioning systems.

I’ve learned the fundamentals of the positioning system, and the system of satellites, but I’m struggling to think of an effective way to present it.

Thanks
