I have never used any kind of GPS road navigator before but am interested in purchasing one. Do I have to pay for any kind of service? Or does it work on its own?

   There’s no additional fees for using a GPS. Just purchase the device. However, if you want up to date maps, you might need to buy an upgrade disk with the latest map data. This is entirely optional though.
