I have a standard nuvi Garmin GPS, bought in the US. I’m planning a trip to St. Maarten, and hope to use it there. Looking at the Garmin map list on the website, I don’t see a separate product for the Caribbean.

Are street maps for Caribbean islands already included in the standard map set pre-loaded into the units sold in the US? If not, do they sell them and where can I get one?

I recently started hiking and thought that a trail GPS would be something good to invest in. I am now using a Magellan Maestro 3250 but I would like to get one that can do both road ways and hiking. I have a Samsung Omnia i910 (Verizon Omnia) which has built-in GPS that I use with google maps and whatnot on the phone. Can I use the phone via bluetooth or USB as a GPS device for my laptop running Windows 7 so I can effectively have GPS on my laptop?

I’m looking for a phone with a built-in GPS, but the battery life is important to me. Many manufacturers claim many hours of battery life, but enabling the GPS will suddenly leave you with just a few hours of battery life. Are any phones known for having good battery life, even with the GPS enabled?
Sorry, I forgot to specify that I need it to be available in Europe, which the Motorola Devour unfortunately isn’t.

My 2009 Toyota Corolla hatchback has a flat space above the centre console/head unit that would presumably be used to hold tissue boxes (despite the danger). I want to attach my GPS holder to this space, but since the surface is slightly bumpy, the suction pad pops up about 10 seconds after it is attached.

How can I attach the device to this space?
