Garmin c330 gps problem?

I bought my Garmin c330 gps last year. My maps are not updated but whenever i ask it to take me anywhere it never uses the interstate or the belt line. It takes all back roads and always says that it takes like 3 hours to take a trip that should take an hour and a half or less. please help.

Check the routing avoidance options on your receiver. It sounds like someone may have told the GPS receiver to avoid routing on highways. I don’t think this is a problem with you having obsolete maps. geog_nerd
