anna w asked:

Today, while driving my car, a police pulled my car over, saying that a GPS is not allowed to put on my front window. He states that it is illegal in America. I live in NJ, and is it true that you are not allowed to put GPS on the front window? I thought the GPS were designed to fit there. Please Help.

Take it to Dayo’s Garage 15 Fillmore Ave. Tonawanda, NY. He can install a system in your dash with a touch screen, Nav, MP3, internet, anything you can imagine, it’s in there. How would you like HDTV in your dash? BFH

Obstruction of view, yes it is illegal. It has to not be above the dash. It needs to be below so it doesn’t block view or create a blind spot. This is why the factory ones are installed in the dash, not on top of it. GO to the website below, it has the specific law pertaining to GPS mounting on the window/above dash. Firemedic

This is the only thing that I could find.

No person shall drive any motor vehicle with any sign, poster, sticker or other non-transparent material upon the front windshield. UCANTCME
