My Garmin came with a USB cord and I can charge it with my USB slot in my computer. Change the lighter fuse in your car to make it work.
yes, if the gps u bought came with a charger that goes to your home outlet
The electric “hole” in my car, which is a Mercury Sable, I can plug my gps into the car’s outlet. This is the first car I’ve seen that you can plug a charger cord into it and you could leave it in the car electric outlet (cig lighter) for a week, with no apparent effect on the alternator, battery, etc. or get the outlet fixed, or by a charger for the house.
I don’t know about any other car.
First does the cigarette lighter socket work at all?
If it is not Check it with the ignition on. If it still doesn’t . Replace the fuse.
If it does work.
Then the plug you are plugging into it may have blown a fuse. The end of the plug with the springy button on it . Will unscrew . A spring will then fly out and a fuse will be behind it. Or you will see a coloured piece of plastic down the side of the cigarette charger plug . That will be a pull out fuse.
