How do i change the settings on my TomTom gps to where it would speak the street names?

Go to preferences and you can play around with that. There are so many options on GPS’s. You can find it. Also, some GPS’s, especially the cheaper one’s, don’t speak street names. I bought a TomTom and had to return it when I realized it didn’t speak street names. good luck! Cutie
unfortunately the previous comment is telling the sad truth. most ppl buy these gps because of the name and then find out they are hard to use. even if you want to get something as simple as spoken street names. why not find one of those yahoo experts here who keep promoting ppl to buy these hard to use gps devices. you notice they do not answer questions like yours, they only try to sell you something. sheesh, that sucks.
i dont have the answer for you and i wish i did because i would answer you straight away to help you out. i have a newelectronx gps & i love it. if i need tech support then i just contact newelectronx certified technicians directly. i dont have to come to yahoo answers and wish that a guru finds my questions and hopefully gives me an answer that make sense. this is why i wish i could help you.
it sucks, because you get what you pay for. next time buy a gps that can give tech support or at least take it back to the store and ask them how to use the darn thing or return it and buy another gps that will work for you. here is a good link if you are planning to buy a gps:
