How do I get my computer to recognize my GPS from my USB port?

Have you plugged it in and then did a search for new hardware?
Go to Control Panel, seledt Add New Hardware and try searching. If your unit came with software have it ready to install.
All you half to do is go into the new hardware wizard in the control pannel and click on the name of the GPS. I fit is not there you need to ask the person who sold it to you.
