How do I get my GPS System to talk through my car speakers?
I saw this in a youtube video, but the guy never said where I can buy the accessory. I have a TomTom One XL 130. Thanks!

Well, I don’t know the specific accessory that you saw; but I’ll give you a few options.
If your Nav system has an 8mm jack hook-up (the size normally of a headphone jack), you’re in luck. You can go to just about any store that sells iPod or stereo accessories and pick up a double-ended 8mm jack line.
If you’re fortunate enough to have a car stereo with an auxiliary input jack for 8mm, just plug it in and then plug the other end into your tom tom and set the car stereo to AUX mode.
If you don’t have a direct plug-in on your stereo, but you DO have a cassette player in your stereo, then just buy one of those cassettes that have a wire coming out of it with an 8mm jack on the end. Plug it into the tom tom and then insert the cassette.
The third option is a double-ended 8mm jack line in conjunction with an FM modulator. FM modulators can be bought for iPods and satellite radios. You might even find that there is one specially designed for your Nav system. If not, get one of the others and plug the jack line in. Then synchronize the FM modulator with your car stereo and it’ll send the signal to your radio. It’ll override the station signal and play directly on your stereo.
Good luck.
Buy a Universal hands free cellphone adapter for a car which can be powered by the cigarette lighter. You can get the standard ones that have their own speakers and then you get the ones you can connect through your car radio. good luck!
Simple answer the One XL 130 didn’t come with the FM transmitter have a look at the TomTom GO series, Other than that theres some usefull avice from BarryTheblade that would be a good alterative…………RenĂ©
