How do I update my magellan maestro GPS 3225?

When I plug it in to the computer my GPS says to follow the instructions on the application that pops up but what pops up doesn’t make sense? do I have to download software or what site can i go to to just download up grades directly?

    It may because the USB cable is bad, use another USB cable and try again. Your computer should recognize your GPS as a disk dive.
