Forget the MP3 unless you like tinny music (my Garmin also supports blue tooth so you can use your phone total wast of time) so stick with the directions and save some bucks Adrian C

you need to plug the headphone jack to your factory car stereo, you will need a 3.5 to 3.5 headphone jack
and a auxiliary interface, if your vehicle don’t have a AUX input conejote_99

Simple, when You want to listen to music you don’t want to listen to directions and if you want the directions you don’t want the music. So, buy a gps that gives you the directions and mp3 player that can play you songs preferably separately. Bundling mp3’s with gps is not a great idea. Would you use your phone camera to record your wedding photos? Phone camera’s are for those emergency situations when you don’t have a regular camera. Same with gps mp3 players. Hope it helps guideg

The sound of music coming from a GPS is terrible, no matter what model you have or how good it is it will not compare to any ’stock’ stereo system in a vehicle.

If you’re walking or hiking that’s probably the best time to be listening to music on your GPS but man, not in your car. BeingGreenOnline

generally the mp3 music volume is slightly lower than the voice direction volume. i can hear the directions and music pretty good on my newelectronx gps hand held. it connects to the mobile phone with bluetooth and also connects to the car stereo with wirelessly. i can hear the directions, music, and all sounds on car speakers.
