How do you make a HTC touch pro gps work in an area with no signal?

I will be traveling to an area where the cell phones don’t get signals but I want my touch pro gps to still work. How can I do this since it seems that the gps will only work in areas with either a phone connection or wi-fi.

    it should work because all the data is gathered from GPS (satellites) not from the cell phone tower
    but you will need a clear view of the sky inktownlegend
