How much a month does Tomtom and other similar GPS car units cost?

    They just have the cost to buy them from the store. There is no month to month fee

    There is no monthly fee. There are periodic updates available as new roads and business are built.

    They cost nothing a month unless you make payments for it instead of buying it. It will start to cost money per month though if you add traffic and weather services. The garmin nuvi 680 has weather, traffic, and msn direct services. these are very good services, but they will cost money per month. it is not very much though. I would say less than ten dollars. Keep in mind most gps systems offer these kinds of services.

    I know a friend of mine has the tom tom go 720 and he doesn’t pay a monthly charge. His map’s are also update for free through tomtom’s map share program, unlike other gps makers where you would have to pay for updated maps from them. Go for the 720, maps from tele atlas are very accurate and the design is very pleasing to the eye.
