I am looking for a phone which focuses more on the GPS. I don’t really care about the camera or music quality.

I don’t know what company you have, but I know that verizon has gps enabled phones that give extremely accurate directions, and it’s really cheap, like only $10 a month for unlimited usage.

So far, from testing, the best phones I have seen with GPS built in are the HTC Touch Diamond (have it, you can use either Google Maps with GPS and work off that or use the turn-by-turn system available from your wireless service provider), the iPhone, and all current Blackberry phones.

A lot of service providers have started putting GPS into their phones to give customers the option of using their phone to help them get around the city. The biggest warnings I have about this, and I know these ones from experience… the system can lag by a fair bit. On my phone in particular it’s often off by about 5-10 meters from my actual position (this is in the satellite view on Google Maps), and if you are inside at all, the system has a very difficult time finding any satellites for the first little while (unless you are going from outside to somewhere inside with a view of the sky still).

I would personally suggest getting a separate GPS unit instead, but if you’d prefer to keep it all to a single device, again those ones I mentioned right now are the better ones.
