If you put a GPS system in your windshield, doesn’t it block your view, and shouldn’t it be illegal?

I mean, if hanging an air freshener from your rear view mirror is illegal, why aren’t people getting pulled over for putting a huge GPS system in their windshield?

    because a GPS isnt in the middle of your windshield. Its more towards the bottom and not in your way, plus a lot of people dont clip them to their windshields. Also they arent that big.. thats like asking why do people put stickers on their windows, that blocks your vision but its not illegal.

    No it’s not illegal. If you cannot see around it you’ve got it in the wrong place.

    if it was bang in the middle of your windscreen then yes !
    but mine is set on a bracket not on the top of dash

    well actualy its more visible, and practical in the middle / bottom of the windscreen, these days people get cars with speedo’s in the middle of the dashboard. and if this doesnt help, theres always a optional dashboard conversion. hope this helps.
