is the Garmin StreetPilot 2720 a good gps for truck drivers?
My dad is constantly on the road and in need of a gps that doesn’t tell him to go through a no truck zone street.

Your dad cant be looking at the GPS and driving…As most drivers do its part of the job to preplanned your trip..GPS cant be held responsible if your dad makes a wrong turn..he has to watch for signs of caution..GPS aren’t always that current..Im sure there is a GPS for truck drivers that tells them about low over passes and low weight bridges..there also may be a app for his phone he can use instead of buying a GPS. While the Garmin 2720 is a good navigation aid, it doesn’t look for truck routings or check for low bridges along the route. Garmin has recently introduced a new unit that is specifically programmed for truckers. Check out the Garmin Nuvi 465 which is available at most major brand travel centers. JetDoc
I think Garmin StreetPilot 2720 is good one but not sure is a good for truck drivers, I suggest these gps truck drivers :
1.PC Miler PCM740 Navigator 740 All-In-One GPS for Truck Drivers
2.World Nav 7260 WorldNav7200 7 GPS Navigation for Truck Route Commercial Drivers with Bluetooth Good M
if you type in “truckers GPS” it will bring you to sites regarding truck gps units. most are pricey but you can enter vehicle length, width, weight, height and if haz-mat or not. that way you will not be directed onto strrets not made for trucking of low bridges or restricted tunnels. Thumper
