Problem with TomTom GPS system regarding new maps?
I tried to update the map on a TomTom One 130, and when I rebooted the GPS, it posted this message:
You cannot use this map on this device: USA_AND_CANADA
What can I do about this? I’ve tried to delete the map and put it on the device again and it still says that message.
No, I didn’t download an illegal map. I downloaded it via the TomTom HOME program provided with the GPS.
do you have to pay to download a map not previously preloaded to your gps system?
for example i bought a gps system which only has the map of usa and canada preloaded. if i wanted the map of mexico, would i have to purchase the software from somewhere?
Should the use of gadgets (cellphones, handheld GPS, etc) while driving be banned in Canada?
Should the use of gadgets (cellphones, handheld GPS, etc) while driving be banned in Canada? However, drivers would be allowed to use cellphones with earpieces or Bluetooeth devices, etc.
What arguments could be raised on both sides of this issue?

Is it possible to get a GPS system where you can load Canadian and American maps?
I’m planning on doing a full driving tour around the USA and Canada. In Canada, including the Dempster highways and other dirt highways.
How can I get the internet & GPS running on my phone?
I bought a new phone outside the country, it runs pretty well on Rogers network in Canada. I can do everything else but can’t access the internet or GPS application. Called the manufacturer and they asked me to get the WAP settings from Rogers and put them in manually, which I did but still no luck. Any suggestions how could this problem be resolved ? By the way my phone is Sony Ericsson C702.
