I want to upgrade the Mk II satnav in my E39 528 to a Mk III. Where is the GPS sensor cable?

The Mk II version of this satnav has an external GPS receiver but the Mk III is internal. I therefore need to disconnect the GPS sensor feed from the MkII and connect it to the rear of the Mk III but noone seems to know where it is or how to identify it, other than by matching the plug with the relevant socket, so does anyone out there know which cable is which?
