For navigation, what is the difference between a GPS device and a cell phone?
Does a cell phone navigate off the cell network and the gps device uses satellites…and therefore can be used where there is no cell phone connection?
How does a GPS-enabled Nokia phone work in India, if I want turn-by-turn navigation?
1. Would it require me to purchase software separately, and if so, what are some good brands and what would it cost?
2. What works better in India — Nokia Maps or Google Maps?
3. Without the software, is the GPS pretty much useless, and what functions of the GPS can I use?
how do I use my gps on my blackberry storm?
I click on the navigation and it goes to a green screen and says navagation but then it goes right back to the main screen. I go to maps and type in where i’m going and blah blah blah and click the gps on button. It shows the map and directions but how do I get it to talk and use turn by turn.
Can you recommend an inexpensive GPS system that could be used for both geocaching and navigation?
Please note if any additional upgrades have to be bought to add navigation. I could most likely get by with little detail at the city level. I would just like to know how far it is between towns when driving, etc.
Also would like to try a little geocaching. A GPS unit for me is a luxury, so I don’t want to blow a lot of money on it.
Thank you.
