GPS. problem Nokia N97?
the gps only worked once when I got the cell but now it doesn’t work .. It shows the presence of some satellites like 4-6 satellites .. but doesn’t connect .. I compaired it to N95 and Nokia 5800 they both got signals and the N97 didn’t work at the same time .. any advice would be appreciated.

how come satelites scale for so many GPS units out there?
Hi ,
I am really wondering about this, and couldn’t find any answer, or maybe I wasn’t searching for the right thing.
With all these GPS units being sold nowadays, how come the satellites keep handling all these units questioning “what’s my position now”, how come they scale so well? I need a point to start understanding this.

How do I get a ViaMichelin X-950 sat nav/GPS to pick up a signal?
Every time I put in a destination I keep getting a “Detect satellites. This may take several minutes.” message but I leave it for ages and nothing happens. Is there something I’m doing wrong here?

I’ve learned the fundamentals of the positioning system, and the system of satellites, but I’m struggling to think of an effective way to present it.

What is the difference between CAR and trecking GPS?

I really would like to understand the difference between Car GPS and Trecking GPS. Are they similar?
I mean here from the point of syncing with satellites. I saw some trecking GPS that sync with 12 ( 12 channels). Does that mean that they are more sensitive than Car GPS?
Is it possible to use car GPS for trecking 
Or are there GPS that can be used for both applications at the same time, and may be also for sailing, let’s say
If they are identical hardware-wise, does that mean one can use maps files for cars on a trecking GPS, or vice-versa?
