Do cell phones send out location info even if GPS is turned off?
I put my cell phone in the same spot every night when I go to sleep, by a little radio. And you know when cell phones interfere with speakers? That sound, if your phone is by a speaker, right before a call or text? My phone does it EVERY 54 minutes on the button. Is my phone sending out info on my whereabouts, even though my GPS is off?
What do you think about putting a GPS microchip in your kid to prevent them from going missing?
Everyone I ask says it’s a horrible idea, and I’m not a parent, but surely with all the crazies in the world, it would take some of the anxiety away knowing that you could locate your kid if they went missing? Of course you’d remove it when they became teenagers so they could rebel with a bit of privacy, but when they’re young and defenseless, wouldn’t you sleep safer at night if you had something like that?
