What is wrong with my Tom Tom One xls GPS unit?
My GPS unit use to work great, but now if I disconnect the pwer cord, it will just stop working an turn off, almost as if the battery cannot sustain the charge. Also, no matter how long I re-charge it, if I unpluug it it stops working. Please help?
I wanted to add that “over charging” is not the issue, sometimes I do not use it for weeks and it works fine plugged, does not work unplugged, can I buy a battery?
Nokia N95 8GB GPS Location Problem?
Hi.
The reason why I am contacting you all is because I have recently purchased a copy of the software, “Tom Tom Maps”, and after attempting to install it onto my Nokia N95 8GB, many, many times, it simply refuses to recognise the internal GPS module.
The built in GPS device works perfectly with Nokia Maps. But after using Nokia Maps in an emergency journey of just 9 miles from my home it cost me £17 in user charges from my mobile phone provider.
So has anyone else bought a Nokia N95 8GB, purchased the Tom-Tom software, installed it onto their phone, and have been able to get it to work with the built in GPS properly, or have had the same problem and discovered a solution for themselves?
Any help and advice would be very much appreciated.

Can you get truck routes for portable gps systems such as garmin or tom tom looking for Canada and US?
I know there are others out there but trying to see if possible to work with these brands

Do you have to purchase updated maps for all brands of gps systems?
I was reading updates on Garmins are 60 plus dollars, does this sound right? If so, how often do you have to update? I am also looking at Tom Tom’s.
Anyone have a GPS system with traffic alerts that actually work?
I bought the Magellan GPS with traffic and it doesn’t give me a single alert!
I-25 can be at a stop for miles and it doesn’t notify you anything is wrong. No construction alerts either and I pass through the ones at I-76 and 225 and again at I-70 and Ward.
I’m wondering if Tom-Tom or Garmin work any better or if it’s just Denver area that sucks for alerts.
Which is the best GPS Car Navigation out on the market?
I’m trying to get one of them GPS navigator but am confuse, i heard some of them recommend activation and monthy fee (totaly dont want those) so which do think is the best and most realiable device out in the market, am thinking about tom-tom but not sure.

What kind of portable GPS system to get?
My husband wants a GPS system for his car for Christmas. I know nothing about these things. I’ve seen the Tom Tom’s, and Garmins, but I’m not sure what to look for. He just wants something basic, nothing too fancy with a gazillion features. But not the cheapest one either. Any suggestions? Thanks!
