What is the best GPS laptop software?

I want one that can shows you restaurants and hotels and rest stops and stuff. I also want it to be able to tell you how much it is going to cost you at that certain hotel. Please help me. Now Windows fails to recognize it when I plug it in…Previously it would sound-off and prompt me to install new hardware.
