How do I get my garmin gps to stick to the windshield better?
It works for a while and then it falls off. I am using it right but for some reason it loses its stickiness after about 10 minutes.
should I get a portable GPS unit or choose the factory installed option for my new car?
the top of the line portable one I’m looking at is a mere 600 bucks and it offers a ton more features and better looking maps than the factory option, making me think the auto maker should stick to making cars and not GPS units.
still, I like how its cleanly integrated into the car, the portable mounts on the windshield and looks a bit tacky.
the factory also costs 2,000 dollars.
which one is worth it?
Where on the windshield should I mount my GPS?
Where on the windshield should I place my GPS that would be both easy to see and would not interfere with driving. I own a sedan.
What’s better, a separate GPS unit or the systems built into a cellphone?
Is it easier to have the GPS unit on your windshield or looking at your phone? Do phones feature spoken directions? Considering upgrading to the Sprint Instinct with GPS.
In the state of California is it legal to have a GPS device or a radar detector on your windshield?
In the state of california is it legal to have a GPS device or a radar detector attached to your windshield with suction cups? I over heard sombody saying that you cannot have anything mounted on the inside of your windshield, is this true?
How can I keep my GPS windshield mount from losing suction so quickly?
The one that came with the gps device started falling off after a few months so I bought a replacement mount for about $30. After another few months, same problem. It just seems to lose its suction power and will fall off after a short time of driving. Any ideas to avoid this problem? The beanbag solution will not work with my gps (which is a Garmin, by the way). Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
It is illegal to mount a gps unit in the automobile windshield?
I heard that Windshield Mounting of GPS is going to be legalized in California, but I just not sure when this is going to happen, Do you know something about this? Still this illegal?
Is there any law in California that restricts mounting a GPS to the windshield such as a windsheild mount?
If it is, is my only option a dashboard mount to my GPS device?
