SkyCaddie GPS is the best I’ve seen among GPS systems. (There are plenty of rangefinders if you don’t find something you are looking for)
There are several plans to choose from, from unlimited courses in one state to unlimited courses in the world. These plans are not too expensive (Unlimited Courses in one state $29.95 per year). Just search for your favorite courses and download them to your SkyCaddie.
I prefer GPS over rangefinders (manual aim) because there will be places on the golf course where aiming at the pin will not be possible (hills and such). In addition, Skycaddie includes other targets, such as lakes and bunkers. You can plan your shot by looking at how far bunkers are from your position.
Yah, that’s all
SkyCaddie is a best golf gps rangefinder, it has a large color display with automatic backlighting, has a long-lasting rechargeable battery, It’s also equipped with the patented IntelliGreen technology, enabling golfers to measure the full depth and shape of the green from any angle of approach. I suggestion model :
1. SkyCaddie SG5 Golf GPS
2. SkyCaddie SG2.5 Golf GPS
CriticalGolf.com has the most thorough reviews of golf gps rangefinders that I’ve seen on the Web – they cover most of the brands that you would consider.
They seem to like the Callaway uPro and the Garmin Approach G5. Take a look at their site.
Hope that helps.
SkyCaddie is the most popular brand out there because they have been around the longest. The one problem with SkyCaddie is that their annual fees are pretty high. If you check out the Golf Buddy and Golf Buddy Tour, you get the same info you would from a Sky Caddy, no extra fees, and you don’t have to download courses. It already has thousands of courses at instant access. No computer necessary. My personal favorite is the Sonocaddy. The graphics are great, plenty of courses, easy to request a course be added to their database, distances to everything on the course, and one lifetime fee. Much better than the SkyCaddy.
