What is the size and cost of a chip that can be read to find or locate something by GPS?

I don’t believe there is any such chip. A GPS determines its location by interpreting signals from a constellation of satellites, not by reference to a chip located somewhere on earth. There are devices which use radio homing, etc., but they are not GPS receivers. GJ289FIA
