Where can I download a map of Cyprus to my Garmin GPS unit?

We’re going to the south of Cyprus next week. My GPS unit is a few years old and I’ve never added any maps because the UK came pre-installed.
I already have a paper map, but it is a bit complicated to look at while driving! I prefer to have a sat nav barking the directions at me!

Go to the Garmin web site. But it will have to be the whole of Europe, and you will have to pay. Why not buy a map it’s only a small place. Bob

No problem finding your way around Cyprus as everywhere is well signposted in English and Greek. So small an island that you can’t really get lost and there are so many brits living there that there is always someone to help you. Also the Cypriots speak English too and are most helpful.A word of warning though, the Cypriots driving is appalling and they drink, smoke and talk on their mobiles often without seatbelts or signalling.Get fully comp insurance with your hire car as the law is that if you have an accident and it is your fault then the driver is not insured!A lot of Cypriots don’t have insurance either so it pays to be 110% on the ball when driving over there. If you want to go off the beaten track I would also suggest a 4×4 as small cars are no good for the really bad roads and places like the Akamas(really worth a visit).I would think a sat nav would be a total waste of time as they would probably send you down a dirt track or over a ravine! Have a good holiday and enjoy Cyprus it is a great place to visit but also expensive for what you get. beverley1156
