There are two GPS services in operation:
Precise Position Service (PPS): This service is used by the U.S. Department
of Defense and authorized associates for security purposes.
Standard Positioning Service (SPS): This service is available at no charge to all worldwide civilian users.

You'll get the best GPS product over >>>http://www.agritura.com/index.php/cat/c211_GPS-Navigation---Communication.html

This product can be attached to any computer or os.

What you want is a keystroke logging application (or a more advanced version which will take a screen shot and email it to you every few seconds or minutes), not a GPS unit. But be warned, just because you suspect you are being cheated, installing a any type of monitoring software on someone else's computer is illegal.

The exception being that if the person you are monitoring is an employee and you in fact own the computer.

haha,, a GPS tracker? thats scary why would you need a global positioning system to monitor his computer? is it a laptop? I hope hes not carrying a desktop around the country being unfaithful?.. =) devices that do this type of work are rather expensive and usually found in corporate environments furthermore corporate environments with heavy financial backgrounds like banks and etc,,, there are some open source application you could use to monitor things on your network,, and scripting is also nice (scripting + open source R0X!1!),, monitoring when files (evertthing is a file, even history) is deleted or modified, when certain requests are sent on the web,, even capturing the data in packets is possible revealing a persons habits,, all this is possible however it is true it is borderline illegal if not all out,, depending on how u go about it,,, =)
