You can get decent GPS / Nav system for about $150. But $100 is really cutting it low. You have to be careful that you don’t get bargan basement no name brand.
If you get a GPS so small, then it will be hard for the older people to see the screen. Cheap one will be dim and difficult to read during daylight.
Cheap GPS have very inaccurate or out of date map.

As for the store, just about any electronic store will have them. Radio shack, circuit city, best buy. Just know that CompUSA is closing it’s doors in Jan so don’t get anything with extened warranty there.
