    Most of the navigation apps on the App Store do not require an internet connection to work. Examples include Navigon and TomTom.

    GPS does not work on iPod Touch because it lacks the GPS chip or whatever that is needed. Even if you install GPS software, it will not work. Only works on iPhone. jackkirby

    Wait for the newest version of the iPod Touch, it’s supposed to have GPS built-in.

    Older versions have no hardware add-on that I could find. And, there is no “software solution” because there must be a GPS chip built-in to the iTouch. ELfaGeek
