Its okay if it blocks your view of the front of your car but its a violation it it blocks any part of your view of the road or your surroundings. This would seem to limit it to low mount on the top of the dash or on the front of the dash just to the right of the steering wheel. The interior layout of your particular car will dictate what options are available to you. You’ll have to put it someplace that you can see it easily, but legally it must be mounted where it doesn’t intrude on your view of the road.
