Lojack is not a true tracking system that you can track the unit when you wish to.

It is a tracking device that is meant to be use with local law enforcement when you report a theft and it is not that efficient since the local PD would have to be willing to track the unit down using the loJack tracking device in their vehicle, those are the police cruiser with the 4 antenna normally located on the trunk of the cruiser or roof. NOT ALL OF THE PD have a bunch of these vehicles so without it, they can't find your stolen vehicle either. Although there is no monthly contract or service fee, it is not as effective as a tracking system you can track yourself over the Internet.

There are GPS units that have WiFi GPRS ability that can track you, but the cost is very expensive.

You can view a picture of a Vespa with a GPS unit installed on Auto Nav 2000 Plus, Inc website at

I would recommend you to consider either purchasing a personal tracking device that you can track ANY vehicle when necessary. The tracking device is smaller than a pager and can track when ever you want to on a computer.
You can view this tracking system at Auto Nav 2000 Plus, Inc website at

If you wish to see how well these tracking system functions, you can rent one from GPS4Rent on their website at

The nice part about this tracking device is that is totally portable so you can use it one day in your scooter and another day in your vehicle. You can take it with you on vacation if you need to and put it in your laptop case to track your laptop if need be.

Hope this information helps you in finding the right tracking system for you.
